Important Updates: Bello’s New Focus on Messaging and Blueprint
As we continue to evolve Bello, we are making important changes effective November 1st, 2024. After carefully reviewing how our users engage with the platform, we’ve decided to pivot our focus to areas that deliver the most value—specifically, messaging and Blueprint.
In this blog post, we’ll explain the upcoming changes, what they mean for you, and answer some common questions.
Overview of Changes
Retiring Insights, Network Support, and Segments
As of November 1st, the insights and network support features, along with segments, will be discontinued. This shift allows us to streamline our focus and invest more in features that have shown greater impact.
Messaging
We are focusing on our messaging functionality through XMTP and Warpcast to support our strategic customers. For now, anyone can still use our messaging feature to engage their onchain audience directly.
Blueprint
Blueprint, our creator accelerator, has shown great success in helping creators drive mint volume. After completing Cohort 1 and generating nearly $450k in primary sales, Blueprint is now our primary focus. This shift aligns with our mission to help creators build their careers onchain.
Frequently Asked Questions
1. What’s happening to the insights, network support, and segment features?
Starting November 1st, we’ll no longer offer insights, network support, or segments. This means your previous searches and data will no longer be available, and exporting data won’t be an option. We’ve made this decision to focus resources on areas where we see the most value and new macro opportunities.
2. Will I need to do anything to migrate to the messaging feature?
No action is required on your part. On November 1st, Bello will automatically transition to a simplified interface centered on messaging. You’ll still be able to upload or paste wallet lists to broadcast notifications and continue using messaging seamlessly.
3. Why is Bello keeping messaging?
Messaging via XMTP and Warpcast will remain because it supports our strategic customers and is a vital tool for engaging onchain audiences. Messaging is also closely aligned with Blueprint’s goals, making it an essential part of our evolving platform.
4. What is Blueprint, and how does it fit into Bello’s future?
Blueprint is our creator accelerator program, offering creators funding, mentorship, and the tools they need to increase mint volume. After Cohort 1, we generated nearly $450k in primary sales. As a small startup, focusing on Blueprint allows us to capture momentum and better serve the creator economy moving forward.
5. What happens to my current Bello subscription?
If you’re currently paying for Bello, your subscription will remain the same for now. You will continue to have access to the messaging features, and we will notify you of any future changes to the subscription model.
6. When do these updates take effect?
The updates will take effect on November 1st. At that time, Bello’s interface will be updated to focus entirely on messaging, and the insights, network, and segmentation features will be retired.
7. How can I learn more about Blueprint or participate in future cohorts?
If you’re interested in learning more about Blueprint, you can visit our website. Applications for Cohort 2 open on Monday, October 21st. We encourage all creators looking to drive onchain engagement and mint volume to apply.
8. What’s next for Bello after these changes?
Our focus will primarily be on Blueprint and helping creators go viral onchain. We are also exploring ways to improve the messaging tool and support creators in growing their onchain audiences. We’ll keep you updated as our roadmap evolves.
9. I’ve never used the messaging feature before—how can I try it out?
We encourage you to explore messaging by signing up for a seven-day free trial. This includes messaging credits to broadcast notifications to your audience via XMTP and Warpcast. You can also find more information in our Help Docs to guide you through the process.
